Awaken cafe presents…

Sis

Sis is a serendipitous, scary and smooth combustion between Jenny Gillespie Mason (voice, synth, guitar, piano), Rob Shelton (synth, programming, piano), Carly Bond (electric guitar, synth, vocals,) Joseph Adamik (drums, bass clarinet, marimba,) Andrew Maguire (drums, marimba,) Jamie Riotto (bass, synth) and many incredible horn and string players including Adam Theis (Trombone), Audra Loveland (French Horn), Adam Hirsch (Saxaphones), Michelle Lee (Flutes), Ben Goldberg (Bass Clarinet), Crystal Pascucci (Cello) & Kane Suga (Cello). Music is a magic portal to us out of and through fucked up times. Sis makes its sounds at the cozy enlightened space of Tiny Telephone Studios in San Francisco, CA.

Dark Rooms is a 4-piece based in Los Angeles, California, and fronted by composer and violinist Daniel Hart. Daniel has spent the last decade touring with bands like St. Vincent and Other Lives, and composing music for films. Dark Rooms’ newest album Distraction Sickness is out September 8th.

For Now is Zeina Nasr and Alex Vittum, an electronic pop duo based in Oakland, CA. Their songs explore the themes of identity, memory, and desire, and their upcoming album To Belong will be released in the summer of 2018.
