Waystation

Waystation is Ariel Luckey and Lila Sklar. Combining old world klezmer and hip hop aesthetics, Waystation remixes the eclectic melodies of their ancestors with the rhythm of the city they live in, Oakland, California. In celebration of the release of their debut album rememory, a circle of songs activating immigration justice, Waystation plays music to move to.

Kugelplex is California’s leading purveyor of klezmer and old-world party music. Formed in 2001, the group is known for its weaving of eclectic styles and wild, soulful dance music at concerts and festivals throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles and beyond. Kugelplex has performed with Joan Baez, the Oakland Symphony, Linda Tillery, the Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir, Frank London (founder of the Klezmatics) and many other great artists.
